SATURDAY NIGHT
After feeding us a wonderful hot breakfast and a delicious lunch, Southern Maine broke out the hog roast dinner with all the trimmins of a good summer barbeque. After the awards presentation, we even had music! I'd brought along some homemade music CDs, and we were gonna put them in Dan Kane's truck CD player, but come to find out his battery was dead. Truck wouldn't even start. Dan has this new-fangled electric cooler that he left plugged in and it had drained the battery, so after some kidding and jumping his battery, we weren't deterred one bit and instead decided to play them in Ed and Deb Brown's mini-van that was parked close by.

We enjoyed the music and fellowship for a good, long time. When the Brown's set out to leave for the evening, their battery was dead from playing CDs. I'm not certain, but I think we jumped their battery with Dan's newly-charged truck. LOL!

(See next page for awards presentation.)
Top: The crowd enjoying dessert and mingling. (The black and tan dog in the left of the picture measured out of the 13" class, but the owners took it well.)

Middle and bottom: Bob Sweet comes to claim a prize while Deb Brown and Cathy Palmer read the winning tickets. The biggest winner of the weekend was Rick Hall, who won both big prizes and the 13" male  class on Sunday with his wife Sue.
Rick wins the training collar system generously donated by Tri-Tronics.
