Chieff was a slow starter but once he did, his pedigree came to the top. Chieff was given to me by a friend because he couldn't get him to run deer. His wife had made a pet out of Chieff because Ed had quit trialing. (It's Legal in S. Georgia to run deer) I got Chieff and started taking him with my dogs and nothing, until one day he decided to be a Champion. I took him to a fun hunt at SEGA and he won 4th. I took him to the SP Licensed trial at Lotts Creek and he won 1st. I took him to the Gun Dog Pack National and he won it. I took him to Foot Hills Gun Dog Brace and he won it. We went to NGA and placed NBQ, and he had 1 more Gundog Pack win the same year. He also won 15" Male High Point Hound of the year. The following year he finished in Gundog Pack with 2 more wins and third. He finished this year in AKC with a win at Norway Beagle Club's SPO Trial and placed 4th at SEGA. All of Cheiff's AKC wins were under different judges. His nose, brains, and personality make Chieff what he is -- just a flat-out good Rabbit Dawg! <>< |
